OptiMesh® Multiplanar Expandable Interbody Fusion System.

The OptiMesh implant is placed through the smallest lumbar interbody fusion tubular retractor on the market and expands in three dimensions to create an ALIF-sized, endplate-conforming implant. By containing and hyper-compacting granular bone graft, OptiMesh uses granular mechanics to produce significant distractive forces capable of restoring and maintaining spinal alignment, with posterior supplemental fixation, providing indirect decompression, resisting subsidence, and supporting fusion.

SMALL SIZE, HUGE IMPACT

With OptiMesh's unique properties, it is the only lumbar interbody fusion that can be delivered through such a small tube while still being able to expand to a large footprint.

  • Delivered through a 6.6 mm inner-diameter tubular retractor (same size used for spine endoscopy)

Unlike any other implant on the market, OptiMesh uses granular mechanics to produce significant distractive forces. These forces are capable of restoring disc height, spinal alignment, and indirectly decompressing the nerves.

CONFORMS TO A PATIENT'S ANATOMY

OptiMesh contours to the patient's anatomy as it fills to create a large, endplate-conforming footprint. This shares load across the entire implant surface area instead of point-loading which can cause stress-shielding, a phenomenon commonly seen with monolithic implants. With its ability to potentially reduce subsidence, OptiMesh may be beneficial for patients with poorer bone quality.
