Essence™ Viable Amnion Matrix
Essence™ Viable Amnion Matrix is a human placental allograft that retains the inherent extracellular matrix components and adherent endogenous progenitor cells of amnion tissues.
Tissue quality and cell viability relies on donor selection, processing methods, and timely preservation. Placental tissues for Essence allografts are collected during live healthy Caesarean Sections, followed by aseptic processing, and quick preservation.
Tissue staining (green) demonstrates a significant number of metabolically active cells after cryopreservation and thawing on the stromal and the epithelial sides of the tissue. Essence is verified to be non-immunogenic and is lot-tested for viability after thawing.
Cell and Matrix Preservation
Histological analysis shows significant populations of human amniotic mesenchymal stromal cells (hAMSCs) and human amniotic epithelial cells (hAECs), which are the youngest progenitor cells available without the controversy of embryonic cells. Histology also demonstrates Essence retains key growth factors, cytokines, and matrix proteins known to facilitate cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling, as well as prevent inflammation and infection.
Cell Mirgration and Proliferation
In vitro testing confirms cells from the Essence tissues have the capacity to migrate and proliferate after cryopreservation and thawing. Spindle shape is characteristic of MSC morphology.
